Hello all I drive a 2015 ecoboost and was looking for a catback. I saw the ford performance extreme catback and loved the sound but noticed it is only sold for 2018-2019 but also sell a sport version for years 2015-2019. I was wondering if anyone knows where the difference is with the extreme catback that doesn't allow it to fit or if anyone has tried to install it and found out that it fits all s550 years?

Do you have a link? It may be for ones with the active exhaust and that's why it is showing 2018-2019 only.

https://www.americanmuscle.com/ford...tback-exhaust-w-black-tips-2018-ecoboost.html
This is the link on american muscle they all show without active exhaust. I tried to email ford performance and all they could tell me was that it was a difference in mounting. I then asked if the locations were different or if just the hangers were flipped because on exhausts that fit 2015-2017 the 2 hangers on the mid section of the exhaust face the opposite direction as this exhaust. The people at ford performance were only able to tell me "I don't really know the difference I just know they are different".

Hangers look to be in the same location. Just flipped. I don't think it should be an issue installing it.

That is what I was thinking also but wasn't 100% sure thought I'd look to see if someone had a definite answer.

Alot of people use the MBRP which has the hangers pointed towards the front of the vehicle. I don't think many people have used the Ford performance one, you could use the MBRP as a gauge of whether it would fit, people have used it on the 201-2017 and 2018-2019. And they only have one part number per color.

Also, if you're having a shop install it, they would be able to put on a new hanger if needed.

The ford performance faces the rear of the car but watching install videos the stock 2018 exhaust hangers face the front of the car just like the 2015 so i was assuming they should fit all years then. My other option if not ford performance extreme would be the new arc performance catback.

Have you looked at the MBRP? It's half the price of those and most people tend to like it. That's what I am going to order.

I have I was not a huge fan. It had a nice sound but i was looking for something real loud which is why I have been really trying to find an answer about the ford performance one.

I just watched a few videos from CJ Pony parts and it looks like all the exhausts mount in the same way. I think the reason the factory exhaust goes to the back is because it is one piece and if they had it going in opposite directions it would not be able to be installed.

I have the FP Extreme catback and I don't have active exhaust, my car is actually the one in CJ Pony Parts video. I love the sound and just the way it is. That being said I do think it should fit on your 15, maybe call CJs or American Muscle and see what they think since they do a lot of installs.

The 2018 Ecoboost did not have the option for the active exhaust. 2019 only unfortunately

My 2018 has the harness for the active exhaust so it should be plug and play if I can get the parts and the valance.

really?? I asked that question specifically and was told it did not exist on the 2018 Ecoboost. That's great news. Now to find the exhaust pieces and figure out which Forscan codes enable it!!!

This is the harness under my car. I saw it in the GT retrofit thread. When I checked my car it has it, now mine was built the last week of the 2018s. I don’t know if early builds have them. Also I read here in another thread, that the 2019 EB with AE has a Y pipe, keep that in mind.

Let me know if you find the parts, I’ll start looking around but next year by summer.
