Ford NAIAS ST?

It does look good (for what it is). I can see some housewives getting excited about it.

It looks great. It is pointless. The Sport trim was fine. It was an Edge with a bigger engine. Applying 'ST' to a CUV is just silly. No one's taking that thing to a track. This isn't a BMW or Merc where they'll have someone buy it as a silly play thing.

I'd have rather seen a Fusion ST, but least it's not an EcoSport ST.

I really like my 16 Edge Sport. While I'm looking forward to driving the new Edge ST it seems like more of a Sport to ST name swap than a real Ford Performance offering. I hope this isn't the start of watering down the Ford Performance brand as I would have expected them to target a Porsche Cayenne GTS. Only a 20HP bump? C'Mon Man!

I am a big fan of the Edge, we had one a few years ago for the wife, and probably going to replace my Focus with an Edge. Fantastic vehicle. The sport is a great package for what it is, just gives the vehicle some life and looks damn good IMO.

This does seem to be just a name swap from Sport to ST though. All though seems like they did get a bit more aggressive with the brakes.

More aggressive suspension, brakes, 8 spd trans and more power. Apparently a sport mode that's really sporty mcsportyson.

I like the edge but that's a lame video. No drifting, just understeering through a parking lot. So other than more power and torque, whats different than a Sport?

I bet a cup of coffee (or a Manhattan) that Ford Design could execute a Mustang styled Flex w Turbo 6 AWD.
As a design exercise only of course, focused on various strategies of accomodating packaging constraints.
