For those that got PPF on a 350R - how do you deal with the Shelby Badges?

When someone installs it how do they take the badges off and you buy new ones or can you even do that? Or do you just go around them? This is for a 350R

Most don't. I hear it is a mofo to remove the badges. They easily break. My installer used the xpel computer model template and it has a cutout for around the badge. When I do it again, that is the route I will go.

Thanks for replies on both posts! Appreciate it. This is exactly what I needed to hear.

Did the same here. The installer used the templates and stretched the Xpel as close as possible to the Badge to hide the film

I believe my installer also cut around them.

My installer removed the GT350 side badges, the side vents, and top hood vent during install. The rear red badge has a cutout around it as mentioned by others.

I also requested he use separate pieces for the stripes vs. one giant hood piece so there would be no air gap where the edge of the stripe meets the hood. This is a great debate you will find if you search/read PPF threads here.

I had the badges removed. The badgers will break and are about $150 a pair to replace. They’re not that hard to remove: soak the adhesive with Goo Gone, wait and hour, and yank.

I’d do it the same way again.

My installer looked at them and said they have to come off to make the job perfect. I watched him pop the GT350 emblems off on both sides and watched him put them back on without a problem. I like it better no cut lines around the emblem. He also removed the side vents and the hood one also what a great installer in NEW ORLEANS. The guys name is Brandon he owns the place EAS (express auto salon) in Kenner I highly recommend him.
I have had the car out in the sun looking for orange peal and I do not see any at all. I am very happy with the end result 2075 miles car looks like it should still be on the show room floor.

I had the emblems removed on my car and was told they were "sacrificed" during install upon picking the car up. The guy was a hack, but that's another story. I had to order 8 badges (4 pairs from 2 dealers) to get 2 usable ones. Unless Ford has updated the packaging of these emblems, even obtaining 2 that haven't been cracked in half is an ordeal.

I'm kinda confused by this question? Why is this R specific? Both GT350 and GT350 have the same badges, just different color. Anyway if i read this right... why in the world would you PPF the front grill and rear trunk area???

As for the side GT350 logos, which are the same for all GT350 models, my PPF installer removed the badges and ordered new badges for re-install. I requested them to keep the originals for me to take home when complete. After PPF was done in this area... you can't tell PPF was done at all, which I prefer.

New badges, all vents removed. Makes for a cleaner install.
