Audio file myself not for my car but for sure the home.... anyway keep your eye open and check out the Jeep Grand Cherokee, commercial.

They are sporting McIntosh stereo if you know the product. A feature found on the power amps are these output meters.

I think I saw the same displayed on the LCD of the car, Very surprised to see this level of audio equipment in a car, of course, it will be solid state and not tube.

But nonetheless, that is a big step for car audio.

That’s interesting. Those amps sound very good. You can get audiophile sound in a car but its not inexpensive to do. Home theater has kind of killed the audiophile side of things to a point.

The term audio file used is a person having an interest in & knowledge of high-end sound & equipment. Not talking about loud trunk & body panel rattling noise.

That said I would argue that a vac tube amp is a more realistic sound. The same goes for vinyl when compared with digital audio files, USB & CD.

Not choppy, smooth signal transitions from sound to sound.

Anyways that is some kind of upgrade for the car radio. We can agree there.

Audio file is a type of digital file used for storing audio data

Audiophile is somebody who has an interest in sound systems

Evidently you’ve never listened to a properly designed car audio system. And for your information there are several companies that produce very high end audio gear for cars as well as one that produced tube amps back in the 90’s. I wasn’t referring to vehicles with a couple 15’s mounted in the trunk. I’m still running krell and 802d’s I’ve had for years in my home. I agree with you on the sound of tube amps.

True I rarely listen to the radio while driving. The sound the car makes, RPMs spinning up and down, shifting, and so on. Is a big part of the ride, got the music at the home 20.

Started the thread cause I was surprised to see McIntosh in a vehicle. The power meters used for the 400w power amp displayed on the LCD are a hoot. Those meters sold a load of those power amps.

I just hope there not just trying to use the name. Be a shame if they are and do.
