Hey guys,

Yesterday while installing some springs i dropped one of 3 strut tower nuts down into the abyss to never be seen again. Does anyone know what size they are? I cannot find anything about them in my search.

Thanks

M10 x 1.25 per http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx?y=2016&m=Ford&mo=Mustang#Search

If you have another car or the drive to a hardware store isn't too far you can go to the store, remove one of the nuts from the other side, check size using other hardware and then buy a nut and washer to replace the oem flanged nut.

I must be having a day....I cannot find on this site where it lists the nut size. Can you help point an IT guy in the right direction at the website... :headbonk::shrug:

It works best with Internet Explorer in order to "open" the illustrations on the search results page. A couple of years ago IE or the site asked for permission to install some sort of IE "plug-in" to allow this feature to work.

Simply go to the url and the rest should be easy . . . even for an IT guy. :D (I'm a retired engineer with very little IT ability but huge amounts of free time learning DIY website navigation.) The site is confusing and needs practice and does NOT provide the actual part numbers. However it does provide a lot of useful info as long as you include some "grains of salt" regarding "did you find the right part".

Attached is a screen capture of the info on the strut nut. Note the yellow highlighted nut designation. Note also that it says the size is M10x1.25.

Get one of those search magnets. at auto store. i put mine onto a 10 gauge electrical wire, very bendable but strong enough. then you just go fishing! Can't tell you how many times it's saved my bacon!
