You installed Steeda shock mounts already? Or did you just trim the bump stop and felt the 100x times better ride?car drove 100x better! no more clunking no more thumps no more bouncing! rode super clean back home and all smiles! shocking mounts are next![]()
Sounds like he has yet to do the mounts, but had double bump stops in there. Yeah that's bouncy! The mounts will smooth it out even more. You installed Steeda shock mounts already? Or did you just trim the bump stop and felt the 100x times better ride?

Sooo, I installed the Steeda shock mounts today. First test drive felt like a placebo effect. Went for a second and third drive out and felt a little better. The bounce is still there, but I have to admit, about 30% of it was gone. Went over the same horrible road to test it out and the rear felt like my childhood days watching Tigger from Winnie the Pooh bounce around.
I guess I have too much stiff stuff in the rear suspension. I will be looking for some full adjustable coils now from RideTech or KW, but can't decide on which yet... hmmmm....
Nice! I figured I needed adjustable dampers. I have the Roush ride height only adjustable coils right now. Was thinking of just going the cheaper route and getting Viking adjustable dampers (debating between the street warrior and crusader cruising versions). Attach Steeda shock mounts and either the current Roush, Steeda Adjustable, or FPRP Jounce/Bumpstops (I don't have stock ones, which is required by the instructions?).You need some 2-way dampers, that allow your to set compression and rebound independently which KW V3 and Ridetech will allow. Then you should start at stock settings and see how it goes.
My car has zero bounce with the KW clubsport and Steeda shock mounts.![]()
Unfortunately I my dampers are not adjustable. I got the Roush single adjustable ones, so it is only ride height adjustable. Was thinking of replacing just the dampers to Vikings. Only thing is if the jounce from Roush or new ones from Steeda will fit on those (I don't have the stock ones as per Viking's instructions.....I think).Did you try different damper settings? What are yours?
Do you know what the rear spring rates are, and are they in the stock location?Unfortunately I my dampers are not adjustable. Not sure about spring rate as I will probably have to call Roush for that info. They are in the stock location.Do you know what the rear spring rates are, and are they in the stock location?
Yeah that would be helpful. I would guess they're in the 800-850 lb/in range. The Steeda adjustables (or even fixed, love mine, and I have them with 980 lb/in BMR springs) would handle those springs quite easily. Not sure about spring rate as I will probably have to call Roush for that info. Dang, was looking at the Steeda adjustables too. I ended up ordering the Vikings Crusaders Cruise 2-3" ones from BeefCake. Hopefully I am not going to get the famous rattle and noise. If I do, then Steeda adjustable dampers are next on the list lol.Yeah that would be helpful. I would guess they're in the 800-850 lb/in range.
