Ironically, what no one bought, and you NEVER see was the '79 Pace Truck. Now THOSE are hard to find. I think my gramps still has the unused door decals to his old 79 truck in his garage.
Cool...don’t think I’ve ever seen one...do you have pics???

I too will be leaving mine completely standard, forever. A numbered future classic, unmolested and just as the maker intended, what's not to love about that?
Hundreds of BULLITTS sitting at dealerships...can’t sell them!, and they are “future collector classic pieces”... ooops.. drive the snot out of them....mod them...enjoy them for what they are.. a Mustang in Green. Just ask this member....

My sentiments exactly! If I were 30 instead of 68 I might fall for the trap of saving the originality to preserve collectability, but if hell freezes over and these do become collectable in the future it sure won't be in my lifetime. If I break it, I'll fix it or get another one.

Hey VooDoo, I've got to work in Victoria all next week; never been to BC. Anything to do there?

I'm not skipping the mods for collectability, I'm leaving it stock because I like it the way it is. I don't need hood struts, the hood stays down almost all the time except for routine maintenance, it corners nicely the way it is, it sounds great, it's fast, it pretty the way it is. If I want to drive a more track capable car I just get out the 350 or the Boss. In my opinion it is darn near perfect. It may be a more collectable car in the UK, they got a dreadfully small number of imports. As far as here in the states, not likley but you do see 01 and 08 cherry bullitts maintaining their value pretty well.

Unless they have modified the stock hood prop I have had Mustangs in the past get damaged due to vibration. The hood prop were rubbing back and forth on the radiator cover damaging it. I had a 2011 5.0 brand new and in two weeks time the damage was there. If you care enough to clean your engine bay, it helps. It's even more safe to have and the wind won't play a factor with the hood props if you show at car shows. There is no reason not to get them. But....OK.

Here in the UK they are ultra rare, in 2018 there were 59 cars registered in a country of 66 Million people, in four months of ownership I’ve only seen one other and that was at a Cars & Coffee meet, many people here have been waiting over 12 months with still no sign of their car View attachment 372508 View attachment 372509

Meh, the original wasn't blingy and Ford messed up with they blinged this one out. But some enjoy that ;)

Well, KBB has a 2001 Red Mustang GT coupe with 25k miles in VG condition blue booked at $3900-5400 so I would say it has retained value well. I have seen cherry low mileage examples for sale all the way up to $36k.

Were you the Bullitt at Pigeon Forge Grand National F100 Reunion show?
Didn't make it that far south of the Mason Dixon Line.
