Got 4 total runs in today at Byron dragstrip. My best run was 12.93 at 108. Pulled a 2.00 60'. Pulled sevel 13.1s launching off idle.
Car is stock GT premium, auto, 3.55, 20" perelli summers, BMR cradle lockout. I did a short burn out just to clean the tires. Pressure at 28 psi. Power launched at 1200 rpm.
I didn't feel any wheelhop at launch, just a tiny bit at 1-2 shift. I was expecting a higher mph, maybe around 110. Overall a good day out.

Almost any day racing is a good day. It's decent slip. 12.9s @109 is solid. How many miles are on the car? My 3.55 auto ran 12.7@112 on a 90 degree day stock. So maybe your stang's got a little more left in her. I see you have the 20 inch wheels and I have the 18s so that could account for a 10th or two also.

About 3800 miles on it. I was curios why my MPH is down compared to other time slips I've seen on here with similar et. What can I do to get it up?

Did you leave it in "D" or did you use the paddle shifters? From what i have read toggling it into sport + and leaving the shifter in "D" is the best option to get down the 1/4 the quickest.

I had it in Track mode, AdvacTrac off, Shifter in S but I let the trans shift. Power launched at 1200 RPM, felt no wheel hop, shift to second had just a tiny bit of hop.

I spent most weekends in high school at that track. It used to be one of the quicker tracks in Northern Illinois. Lots of rubber laid down at the starting line and ever so slightly down hill.

A few minor mods and it'll be trapping 112-114 no problem. Tune works wonders.

would you get better times with stock tires if you aired them up to the proper 32 psi?
I know its common to air out radials, but I was always told keep PSI at what is recommended if dragging summer tires.

I never really felt any slippage coming off the line. Each launch I went harder and harder. I only had a little wheelhop at 1-2 shift so I was thinking my tires psi was good. My thought at the time was air the tires to 28 psi, and with a short burnout they would heat up and the pressure would be right there at 32. No chance to check my theory. Next time I should pump up my front tires by 5 psi or so to reduce rolling resistance. Always a next time :)
