Yes, it will be an awesome weekend car or whatever you want to do. Having forced induction is a blast once you know how to handle it and learn what it will do, . . . . . . .but always respect it. Or it can make you pay dearly in the blink of an eye.

Maybe its me, but it seems several are overreacting about boosted mustangs and the power they have.
Maybe the op is only 18 years old and needs a side of caution, but I'll assume he's an adult and can drive. This will be my 3rd boosted stang and I can honestly say I only had one oh $hit moment and that was at the drag strip when it got sideways around 50mph. Luckily I saved it and managed to stay in my lane and I don't granny drive them on the street either.
You just have to know the feel of your car.
I think he'll be fine since he's accustomed to RWD.
Noone is over reacting just saying that 1000hp is no joke. Be careful and learn it
