FLAT ROCK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Fire crews are battling a large fire at the Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant.

Officials say crews have been called in from Flat Rock, Brownstown Township and Woodhaven.

The fire is not inside the building. Fire officials tell 7 Action News the blaze is burning in storage racks outside the facility.

There are no reports of injuries. It's unclear how the fire started.

People in the area tell 7 Action News thick black smoke from the fire can be seen from several miles away.
