Hi guys just for you that don't no, you can now work out figures for the mustang on the Ford website. 6.8%APR and no deposit from Ford, pretty poor if you ask me but that's coming from a salesman.

came out a lot better than expected for me...i did a quotation a few months ago on a mondeo specced up to be the same price as what I was ordering, obviously residuals were going to be different but as a general feel I worked it out to be about £370 pm...
Entered the same details today; £8.5k deposit, 12000 miles pa, 24 months...£313!!! Cracking deal :) I know the APR isn't great but so happy with that. That's even with the £1000 price increase so it should be a little less for me :D

I don't think it's the worst or greatest finance offer tbh, certainly against my previous cars.

It will be interesting to see if the price can be 'negotiatied' down on the car, as its effectively sold out and most info points to no discounts to be offered.

Won't stop me trying though

Think you may want to check again as I checked it this morning and got a lower price then to what I am getting now as I think they have changed something. To test I put in your info above and got a price back as being £453 so £140 increase!!

Go on the ford website and build your car. At the end you will see the finance option.

You had me worried for a second Stark! Should have mentioned that was on Ford Options - that's my plan (might be in a better financial position in a couple of years to pay the final payment, and avoid the higher APR)...seemed the cheapest way to do it.

Still confused by the "total charge for credit" figure. Anyone know how that is calculated? Not that it matters lol, can't argue with that one!

Going to worry you even more mate....that was set on Ford Options...may want to check mate as mine changed as said :(

If you want to also find out how much it is based on price before £1000 increase, just increase your deposit to £9500 as that will bring the finance in line with how much you are borrowing.

I suspect that may be ecoboost with no options price?

You nearly gave me a heart attach with that screenshot lol, I'm an Ecoboost :) daily driver (probably a fair bit more than 12000 miles) so only option for me.

With the extra deposit, comes out at £269;

BOOM! over the moon with that (assuming I can scrape the deposit together!) Very nearly signed on the line last year for a Focus. Would have had less deposit obviously but was willing to pay much more than that!

Ah did not see you were going for the ecoboost option apologies for nearly giving you a heart attack but at least now you are even more satisfied with the price per month hahaha

I was looking at a quote sent to me by my dealer. Something like £12k down, £240/month over 2 years and £20k at the end.

Handing over nearly £4k to Ford Finance for the privilege. Not happy at wasting money like that.

It's seems to me that you are paying 2 years of instalments, around £5k for offsetting the £20k still owed. That's a 25% charge on the loan or have I got my maths wrong?

For those going down the whole 'options' route, another option is to have it over 4 years, but just hand back after 2 years. This isn't an official package, but allowable under the consumer credit act (or was, a couple of years ago anyway). This means that you still get to drive around in a new car for 2 years, but at lower monthly payments.

How can this work when Ford is not offering a 4 year Ford Option to buy deal? Also you can do this with all car finance deals as long as you have paid back 51% of the finance.
