I think I finally was able to find a dealer that is not playing any games, and I put the deposit down on the car today, it was only 100 dollars too. I should be able to head over there and sign all the papers tomorrow! I'm excited! It's pretty far away, like 60-70 miles away, but they threw in delivery for me for 200 dollars, which I can't really argue with, because asking someone to drop me off there and then drive back makes me feel like a bit of a jerk.

It's a deep impact blue base GT, with an automatic, and the enhanced security package. If I sign and do everything tomorrow, then friday at 7:30 am I should be able to take delivery. I'm very excited, and it only cost me 36600 out the door!
Congrats Roah!

I can't wait to see some pictures of your new beast!

Any plans for her yet?

After reading this thread, I'm never moving out of South Carolina again in my life. I lived in Missouri for a year and things seemed pretty cheap there, but I kept my SC address as my main address, so I didn't pay taxes etc up there.

My tax rate is 8.375% lol. The car was 33,033 before all the taxes and fees. So, a bit above the invoice, but the msrp of the car is over 35k.
Premiums can now be found for 33k but congrats on the car!

they don't
^ This.

The EB Fastback is the most affordable of the lot and goes for just over $54100 USD. Anything else like automatic and/or convertible is north of 60k.

Most people drive (sub) 1 Liter engine powered tin cans with less than 90hp here. a 1L 100+ hp turbo engine is pretty much a sports car here. LOL.

Sure there's people with (10+ year old) BMW's and Mercedes' But most of them are diesels.

Living in Alberta is pretty decent. Sales tax is 5%.
Here it is 15%, BUT housing here is still fairly cheap compare to most other cities, also like mentionned before, we have free healthcare services.
In the end, might not be such a big difference in the cost of living.

My insurance premiums are supposed to get cut in half at least when I turn 25. I'm super excited, just wish it was sooner.
Pays to have a clean record, I'm 48 and will only be paying $550cdn/year for a '16 GT .

Well, Quebec province is also apart since we pay our drivers license every year, like 97CAD, but this including also an insurance, it makes em much cheaper than anywhere else with a different system, like lets say Ontario
