I think I finally was able to find a dealer that is not playing any games, and I put the deposit down on the car today, it was only 100 dollars too. I should be able to head over there and sign all the papers tomorrow! I'm excited! It's pretty far away, like 60-70 miles away, but they threw in delivery for me for 200 dollars, which I can't really argue with, because asking someone to drop me off there and then drive back makes me feel like a bit of a jerk.

It's a deep impact blue base GT, with an automatic, and the enhanced security package. If I sign and do everything tomorrow, then friday at 7:30 am I should be able to take delivery. I'm very excited, and it only cost me 36600 out the door!

How are they delivering it? On a flatbed, or driving it? Because if they're driving it and if I were you, I would rather give the $200 to a friend to drive me there. That way I can ensure the car gets a proper break in, among other things.

Congrats! I only wish the car i bought from my dealer was only 60-70 miles away. Mine was a 6 hour round trip to order it and again to go pick it up. That's the down side to living out in the country (boonies) but love the fact of no traffic. :)

Flat bed! They offered the driving it for 145, I was not keen on that lol.

I'd trade a quick delivery for no traffic any time ever. I once saw a map with what the state is best at on the state, and NY had the worst traffic times as what they were labeled with lol.

Honestly though $36,600 sounds like way too much for a base auto with security package. If I was you I might do another price check before I took delivery at that price

https://www.truecar.com/prices-new/...iveIds=4000121879&trimId=268449&zipcode=19713
Also, the truecar price is a bit lower, yeah. But the dealers around here who I tried with that, were the ones pulling all types of shit. Showing me window stickers for cars already sold, demanding I come down in person before working with me on a price after all fees, etc.

My tax rate is 8.375% lol. The car was 33,033 before all the taxes and fees. So, a bit above the invoice, but the msrp of the car is over 35k.
Oh ok I figured it'd be more like a 6% tax rate. Here in Delaware it's only 3.75% :D

Congrats on the purchase!

:D Thanks! NY taxes are ridiculous lol. I'm glad with the price I am going to pay... now if only they don't crash it while getting it ready for me.

holy balls

car taxes on buying cars here in SC is $300 no matter what the price is but trade off is we pay property taxes every year to get stickers for the plate which sucks but still cheaper than most states

How do the stickers work? Is it a registration?
