TTAC just posted a decent/honest review about the 2015 3.7L (winter weather focused).

Feel free to discuss

Only took 6 months... :headbonk: But at least it looks like the V6 is finally starting to see the attention it deserves. Let's hope this continues!

I wish they had given him a manual. The auto is still very quick and likely quicker in less than expert hands, but the manual is just so much more engaging and fun with this engine.

Why don't they option a good one and test it? It should have manual transmission and 3.55 gears. This isn't like the one I'd get.

Good Read.. decent review and I'm glad this writer seems to "get it" when it comes to the V6. I didn't see "rental fleet" or other derogatory comments associated with our engines in the "BIG" Car Magazines. The V6 is exactly the car it should be for the price, and its an alternative that someone can be happy with over the long haul. If you feel like upgrading, go ahead- it will still cost you less than a comparable Ecoboost or GT and in the case of the Eco, sound so much better.

Yeah I can only imagine most reviewers would say similar things if they actually drove one. The lack of any V6 in the media drives last fall made everyone think it was sub-par. It's anything but.

Good review, but how the heck was the paddle coming apart already? They do seem kind of cheap but that shouldn't happen so quickly.

There aren't any v6 reviews because Ford didn't lend any to reviewers. It's a niche engine choice and I like it this way.

Ford is pushing the eB because they want it to be a world car, and it's probably less expensive to machine.

I guess it gets better mileage, but burning less gas means making less power. If you get on it, it's got to burn gas.

To be a world car, particularly in Europe where taxes are based on engine displacement, the 2.3L was an obvious choice and the 3.7L makes no sense there given the power similarity.

They were probably beating up on those paddle shifters
I'm sure you could easily snag something in the space between the paddle shifter pieces like gloves or a scarf.

Found another decent review: http://www.autos.ca/car-test-drives/test-drive-2015-ford-mustang-v6

"If you’re not quite ready to take on the new and unproven Ecoboost engine, don’t care for stop-light racing, don’t hang your hat on horsepower ratings, and if you want the best-value Mustang available, this new V6 gives you access to a 50-year-old automotive legacy, at near-on 1960s pricing."

Couldn't agree more!

That quote describes my exact logic as well. I don't think anyone who drives the car can actually give it a negative review.
