It doesn't seem to be harmful but if you wanted to fix it you would have to switch to a mechanical bov/bpv.
I switched to an HKS SSQV IV BOV but now I get intake flutter under 2500rpm shifts.

From sac I see, nice.
I work in the Olivehurst/Marysville area. :D

What dealership do you go to? The one in yuba is not very mod friendly :/

I changed mine to turbosmart BOV. It solved the problem.

Does it sound anything like mine? Kinda does a quick bark/whiplash sound instead of the whoosh sound:

Yeah, this may be a combination of intake and stock valve. Mine does the exact same thing. Here it is from the outside:

This might not be the best place for this question, but what would be the best size cap for the bypass valve? Lost the cap that came with my intake :(

If you mean the one on the actual intake, I believe its 27mm inner diameter, with a tight zip tie on it. Otherwise you can vent to atmosphere the actual bypass valve/bov.

So I believe I actually have a faulty BPV. After doing a boost leak test, all the compressed air was coming out through the BPV. Is this a normal thing? Does the stock BPV close when the engine is on?

Thanks!
