Hey guys, currently working on a DIY turbo setup. I would really like to use the ecoboost PP boost gauge. Since my car is already a GT PP I just need to swap out the gauges themselves. But will I need to change the map sensor for the gauge to measure boost? If so, can I use the ecoboost map sensor?

If it all works like I hope it should it should be a very PnP setup for the gauges to work correctly... Hopefully!

Thanks

You should be able to activate the vacuum/boost gauge in your dash using ForScan. I'd recommend a true mechanical gauge for accuracy though. Also, you do not need to change any sensors to get the Ecoboost gauge to work; it's true PnP

I have a Phantom 2 mech that goes to 20 if you're interested. $70 shipped

You're gonna be running an electronic boost controller, right? If so, that will display your boost. You can just mount the controller in the AC vent (if you get an Eboost2 or something).

Otherwise you'll have boost displayed in two places, which is fine if you want lol. :headbang:

Thank you for the response and information. I will have to pass on your boost gauge, I don't like having random gauges in this car. It's too new to just have a different style gauge mounted somewhere when there is a factory option that will work, and be able to change the backlighting just like I can now.

Are you set on a MBC? Seems a bit too old school considering the capabilities you have with an EBC.
Pretty set on MBC, I've always used one even in my single turbo LS swapped Miata. I enjoy the simplicity of it, plus I like being able to just reach over and turn it up or down as I please without plugging in to it. Boost per MPH or RPM is nice, but not really that critical for me. I modulate with the loud pedal lol
