Do we have any options for extending the range of the factory remote start? Ideally over cellular / iPhone app?

Ever since I started this new job, I park in an underground ramp about a block away. It's not freezing in there - snow left on the car is gone by the time I get out of work, but it would be nice to have the car heated on my way out also.

Add-on module (3rd party?) or stronger / bigger antenna ?

Have you tried holding it up by your head? I know it sounds weird but they actually had a thing on Myth Busters about extending the range by holding it by your head and it actually works. I'm not sure on how much further it works but it would be worth a shot.

It actually does work. Weird as hell, but it works.

The Smart Link device is not ready yet. Ford promised it last Summer and the latest is that is will be available March of this year. About $400 for the unit through the Parts Department. They are on back order.

Point a gate or garage opener towards your mouth and it will travel twice the distance as with out. Try it.

The head/chin thing works, brother worked on a dealer lot back in the day and it never failed when searching for a car.
