HI All,
This my be frivolous, so feel free to ignore at your leisure.
Yesterday's journey - 1050km, in 11 hours and 13 minutes. A drive from Perth to the South Coast near Albany and then back to Perth Via Denmark, Bridgetown and Bunbury. A mixture of freeways, open highways and single lane roads (and even some dirt roads), with light traffic throughout. All in all, I have to say that the Mustang truly lives up to its GT name. Some highlights :
Cruising up to 30m+ road trains at 115, dumping it into fifth and flooring it to find yourself doing 160 and past the truck in no time at all!
11 hours+ of driving and no back pains or achining muscles - she's a pleasure to drive!
The looks and pointing and smiles in all the country towns as your drop down to the obligatory 50km/h....I suppose the lower speed limit has its advantages!
Excellent fuel consumption - overall for the trip 9.3L/100km. Very very happy with that.
I can highly recommend doing at least one big trip like this. You wont regret it.
Cheers
Richard
