I have a 16 Gt that’s straight piped with a X pipe, I’m looking into getting headers but know that it will be loud af. What’s some good mufflers or headers that would die down the sound .

I have long tubes headers with mufflers and it is still loud AF. If you don't want loud, don't do headers or put the resonator and mufflers back on.

I forgot I made a video of mine after the header install, this is with an x-pipe, and ford racing sport mufflers. This is a cold start on a 40 degree morning. The video is lousy, but it was made for the audio

Factory mufflers and catted headers will be quieter than non catted headers. It’ll sound good either way though.

Here’s what you can expect with catted LTHs, an x-pipe and factory active exhaust. I don't know how long active exhaust has been out on these S550s, but if you do have it, you can tailor the sound as referenced in the first video. If not, it’ll sound like the second video; loud and mean.

I have ARH catted long tubes with Magnaflow Competition cat back. Cold start is pretty loud, but when it warms up the idle is mellow and at part throttle under 3,500 rpm it’s not obnoxiously loud. WOT 4-7,500, that’s another story.

Driving is about the same as what Racinjason65 stated with my setup.

What's your goal OP? How loud are you wanting? We can give you options if you give us an answer to that question. There are options a plenty.

Long tube headers and I already have a X pipe. I don’t want it too too loud when cruising like 3500rpm and under but definitely want it loud when I get on it.

Then leave the stock mufflers on and just add headers, it will sound like mine but not quite as loud.

It sounds like you'll need what most companies say are "sport" or "touring" mufflers. These are louder than stock, but not blow your eardrums out loud. If you go with a "race" muffler with long-tubes and an x-pipe, it'll be bananas.

Magnaflow streets with headers is a pretty good combo. I eventually switched to Corsa Sports though cuz they are a little louder and no drone.
