Exhaust troubles

That state is a dumpster fire. How anyone chooses to live there i just dont understand. I get some are stuck there cause of a job or family reasons. Id bail on that state ASAP if possible.

You're not wrong. I hate it here. But my family, my business, my wife's family are all here. Someday though, I will not die in this shit state.

Sucks though because this is where car culture was born. Magnaflow, Borla, Gibson exhaust, they're all here in SoCal. People laughed when us gun owners said wait until they come after your hobby. Well the BS Sacramento is pulling looks very familiar

Back on topic, its pretty alarming you're having trouble with the factory exhaust. Are you guys active exhaust or no? If so in quiet mode?
I have Roush axle backs, if you guys are failing I'm screwed if I get pulled over.

When I had gotten pulled over I had mbrp catback exhaust without the active exhaust.

So I'll assume at the ref test your OEM exhaust was non active also. Definitely alarming

I wonder if there is an out you can try by requesting when the last time the decibel meter was calibrated? I got out of a speeding ticket years ago because the radar gun used to get me hadn't been calibrated recently. Its a long shot but it might be something

I ended up getting my ticket dismissed but when I was still in the process the lady that did my decibel test suggested to get a new stock oem exhaust or to weld on silencers … half of the cops on California don’t care depending where you’re at but the little that do make a hassle.

It only takes that one cop.

No way in hell I'd modify my exhaust to make it quieter. You shouldn't have to if its stock. From the sound of it, basically any performance car will fail.

yeah man it’s crazy I was gonna put my exhaust back on today actually but yesterday I saw a post where there was city doing stops and sending people to the state ref. So I just decided to leave it off ;/

Yep. Just like a post a little earlier in this thread I’m only here because of my job but I’m already looking at houses in Florida. It’s only gonna get worse here.

Alot of people do not like WI weather. I honestly do not mind the winters myself but my wife hates it and if it wasnt for my job and our family we would also be looking at places in Florida or maybe Tennessee, TN also has no income tax.

I grew up in Chicago and know your pain. 40 years of those winters but I was able to store my cars as I got older. Looking at Florida as well.
