I actually had to go court for it since I thought it would be an easy pass on the bar ( obviously it wasn’t lol) the judge gave me an extra 3 months but I went to the court house before my time was up.
Oh ok. Im gunna try to go in today, since my court date isnt for another 2 months, and try to see if they can just dismiss it with the document saying its oem from ford

So your reply made me do some research. I now feel you were VERY unlucky. I don't know how it is in other counties in California or other states for that matter but in Orange County any OC PD can pull you over in any OC city whenever they want even if they are just driving home after work or heading to their favorite lunch spot. That blew my mind really. I think you got a GG cop who had a bad day. I have lived here for 10 years and Anaheim PD doesn't do anything that I have ever seen for exhaust here.

Well nothing worked for me including going to the courthouse, didnt even make it past the front door lol. The sheriff that was there just straight up told me hes not going to do anything and i have to deal with the referee to get it fixed because according to him he knows nothing about exhaust laws. Been in contact with 2 other referees and a supervisor. The supervisor said he was going to bring it up to the referee managers to see what my options are since everything is oem. I even bought the non active exhaust mufflers to install and retest but im still waiting to hear back from the referee if clamping on the other mufflers qualify as a proper modification or if im going to have to get them welded on. Oh they also mentioned that the department was going to have a big meeting regarding "performance" cars with oem exhaust not passing to see if they can somehow pass the vehicle if the person has documentation from the manufacturer that the vehicle was inspected and verified that is a full oem exhaust and no modifications. So hopefully they do decide to go ahead with that.
