Hi, new to this thread. Using this setup will it give the notice on the dash that the active exhaust is not functioning like when disconnecting the harness from the exhaust actuators, or is there no pop up at all on the dash?
I got pulled over with non active mbrp catback but my stock is active exhaust. Used awe relocation braket for motors and left them plugged in for the lights on dash to not come on. Fails ref test because they have to test it on track mode. Read 100db on track mode limit is 95db
Little update on...
Well nothing worked for me including going to the courthouse, didnt even make it past the front door lol. The sheriff that was there just straight up told me hes not going to do anything and i have to deal with the referee to get it fixed because according to him he knows nothing about exhaust...
Oh ok. Im gunna try to go in today, since my court date isnt for another 2 months, and try to see if they can just dismiss it with the document saying its oem from ford
Any update on this?
I got a citation for the same thing a few weeks ago and failed the referee exhaust system test this morning with complete oem exhaust at 100 db aswell. Went to ford and had them write a diagnostic that the exhaust is in fact oem. I called the BAR and the state referee office...
Update:

I did ask them to measure the side clearances and and take pics of the cylinder walls and send them to me. Still waiting on those. When i went in to see the engine the heads were still on the block and on the passenger side head there was some scoring on the surface of the main cap for the cam...
Got a call confirming it needs a new short block and is on order. Going in today to get a rental for the time being. Going to ask to take a look at the engine myself and will take pics see what i can see myself.
question i have is has anyone had their vehicle bought back from ford having aftermarket parts on it? and how do they deal with it if the customer wants those parts back or put on the new vehicle if they go for the buyback option of getting a new vehicle as a replacement?
this is whats going...
