I have set of brand new Kooks headers for my GT500, i planned to get them coated. I just recently had an ATV exhaust done and it looks great. I figured for looks and to keep a little heat out of the engine bay it would be worth it. They are telling me that there normal coating is good for ~1300 and that for FI applications this may/may not work. They specifically said SC and Turbo....i get turbo but i did not think a SC application like the GT500 would put out EGT greater than NA..... Anyway what are you thoughts. The next option is there 2500 degree stuff but its double the price so don't want to go that way....and the swaintech coatings are just ugly (effective but ugly).
