... after adding longtubes the car was just too freaking loud and the rasp and tone wasnt very pleasing too say the least. The longtubes were added to the existing h pipe and solo performace axel back. This weekend I added a magnaflow tru x resonated x pipe which tone wise is just about perfect but I personally think it is too quiet. I can't really tell since i haven't heard the car driving from outside the cab and the sound tube was deleted during longtube install. I was thinking of adding some vibrant performance resonators to my old h pipe and seeing if i can meet somewhere in the middle. Does anybody have any recommedations .... thanks

Looking at the construction of the resonator. It seems as though it's filled with a stainless wrap and fiberfill, probably code for fiberglass and steel wool. Maybe you might want to run it for a few miles and see if it increases in volume as it settles in.

Will do thanks, I did put around 100 miles in it this weekend. I also checked with my neighbor ( 4 houses down ) and he said I didn't wake him up this morning ...lol

That MF X design is a horrible restriction.
Pull the MF off and go Ford Performance Resonator by Borla.
Not to be confused with Borla's own S550 resonator.

I just went catless and I've got a Borla S-Type catback along with their resonator. For me, it's borderline loud at coldstart. I asked my neighbors if it bothered them at 4:30 A.M, when I leave for work. I was glad to hear that they didn't mind the increase in sound volume. Actually, one neighbor said that he's waiting for the morning that I go WOT down the street that has no driveways feeding it. I told him, I've got to get at least 5 miles driven before I get wild with the throttle. Plus I do know that I'd piss off some of the neighbors by doing that.
