If you are into tech...YES. It would be like going from Windows Vista to IOS X...Big upgrade.

If you are old (Like those who prefer to still use telegrams lol) which don't give a crap about electronics anyway then NO.
I am in to tech and it didn't deter me from buying now. Better app integration would be nice but it wasn't worth waiting another year.

Bad analogy though. An XP rollback was an upgrade to Vista when it came out. :)

I haven`t had a Windows run PC in over a decade. Once you go Apple and iMac, there is no going back to MicroSoft, IMO. No more issue with Malware, Trojan Horses, Viruses, and fearing the dreaded "blue screen of death" informing you of a (fatal error).:D

I am very much into tech, but this car for driving, not to play with buttons. System does play music just fine, phone works with it great, need nothing else. Would more talk responsive system be nice ? Sure... But I am also sure Sync4 will blow v3 out of the water, actually read about it on the internet ;-)

Great, more reasons for people not to pay attention to the road.

Actually a more responsive system will make it easier to pay attention to the road (vs the current MFT).

Lets not make this a debate about distracted driving. :repost:

To deny that all this added un-neccessary high tech gadgets doesn`t lead to distracted driving is absurd. Set your built in or Garmin add-on GPS (before) you begin driving and then (listen ) to the Voice instructions on how to find your destination. Slip in your CD or make your Radio/Sirius Satellite selection and then enjoy your music. If you need to Talk and Text or Shoot a "Selfie", pull off the damn Road, do you business and (then) resume driving, easy, huh?

phil1336, all your points are valid and make total sense. If I am going to preset my nav destination, make my music selection choices, adjust my climate control, and pair my phone before I start driving then I would much prefer to do this on a better platform than the current Myfordtouch/Sync2... That's all I am saying.

Its all gets back to a Generation Gap, period. Those of use AARP`ers and aging Dinosaurs are for the most part not afflicted with this high tech gadget addiction. In my (day) we had a different compulsion of what do to with our restless (fingers).:D

Phil1336, you might as well just stop fighting it and embrace your new technology overlords. :hail:

I sincerely hope that the new sync is backwards compatible. If not then i'm sure 3rd party radios will come out with better features and still have the car information using an adapter module.

This is the FIRST time I have ever owned a new car that was too new not to have a like a million parts out there.

Sorry, I personally will not succumb to the new addiction of being self-obsorbed by the latest Technology. I`ll let others take photo`s of their "Happy Meals" and post them on Instagram and "Tweet" about their experience on Twitter. I`d rather just put down another pint of Craft Micro-Brewed Beer or sip on a Single Malt Scotch as its slowly melts away a few Ice Cubes in a Cocktail Glass. Ohh how 1960`s, you think?

I am in my early 40's and love technology and putting down pints of craft beer and sipping on a nice single malt scotch. I also love a nice single barrel whiskey:cheers:

I`ve yet to see a Drunk tip over like a Windmill while attempting to take a "Selfie" before they hit the Bar or the Floor, lol. Much live sweet fruit flavored Beer or Ale, all this Technology is (not) for me, unless of course its used in the "ER" for Medical purposes.

...As you type this on your fancy hi-tech apple home computer after driving your hybrid car home from work.

Don't confuse technology with current social faux pas that have come to pass with the current state of advancements. You probably thought your parents were way off base when they dissed records, Elvis, dancing and horseless carriages.

Yes, I do have and am using a 7 year old iMac Desktop Computer with its antiquated OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard system, barely adequate to operate my HP Envy 4500 All-In-One Printer/Copier. No, I don`t own a Smart Phone, no iPhone or Android`s for me. The only "KitKat" for me is a Candy Bar I consume. Giving up the Horse for the Automobile is a bit of a stretch to giving up a Rotary Dial Phone to watching the "glow" of someones Smart Phone illuminate a dark Movie Theater while they are busy Texting and Tweeting their Popcorn eating experience. Sorry, common sense is no longer common and ones self absorbed (boorish) behavior has replaced previous "manners", IMO.
