An improvement, but dang that's slow. And jittery.

Note to Ford: Just spend a few dollars more and get processors that actually perform. PLEASE...

That's just ridiculous these days.

the new UI is terrible. When will these 'UX' designers get it through their thick skulls... NO ONE WANTS WHITE BACKGROUNDS.

Android has nearly ruined all the google apps with white backgrounds as well. Hurts my eyes just trying to read things on it.

The new Sync 3 system does support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto...so wish granted.
That's not entirely true. Ford has said that when Sync3 is released, it will not support either of those. It is however, possible to support those in a future update because QNX is capable of utilizing those technologies.

Google and Apple have made this too easy not to get.

1. Support Android Auto
2. Support Apple Car Play
3. Done
I really don't understand why more manufacturers aren't jumping on this. Leave the UI development to the tech industry and and you build the cars.

Pretty simple, inexpensive, and consumer friendly.

Who drives their mustang with gloves on??
People who live in places where it gets cold? A steering wheel in a car that's been sitting in 0 degree temperatures for 12 hours is not a fun place to put your bare hands.

They make gloves that work on capacitive screens. I have a Pioneer capacitive screen radio in my current car and I own 3 or 4 sets of gloves that all work with it (and phones).

One of the big reasons I went with an Automatic--Remote start!

We've had some negative temps here lately but it's nice and toasty after five minutes or so.

I like the 3D map display and the easier voice recognition, but not feeling the UI either, especially in all white. I hope they change the all white bkgrd, but I guess it doesn't make much of a difference seeing how I already have my car and won't be able to upgrade to Sync 3 anyway since its all new hardware and software. Pretty much a moot point for those of us who already have our cars.

I know I was yesterday when it was -8 outside. I was able to use my MFT with those gloves and after watching the video I kinda like what I have.

Do we know for sure it won't be possible to update the 2015 Mustang with SYNC3?
I would pay a lot to get rid of that laggy piece of ****.

Is this really so bad?

If they permit this, how they're gonna sell the "new feature" ? ;)

Personally don't have great expectations from OEM head units.

Third party systems i.e. Pioneer are much more better (but you loose the car info).

In the past 3 new Fords that I purchased, all of them had some version of either SYNC or MFT. I can honestly say, I have "never" utilized either of these "Tech" devises. Personally, I can safely predict that had I waited for the MY 16 Mustang with its new and (vastly) improved Blackberry driven SYNC/MFT System, I would still not bother with it. Ford should consider including SIRIUS Satellite Radio in the MY 16 Mustang as a standard feature across all trim lines since both Kia and Hyundai can seem to find a way not to kill their Profit Margins by including them in their entire Fleet of Vehicles starting from a 13K price point!

Does this really make enough of a difference to wait for the 2016 model year though?

If you are into tech...YES. It would be like going from Windows Vista to IOS X...Big upgrade.

If you are old (Like those who prefer to still use telegrams lol) which don't give a crap about electronics anyway then NO.
If I had my choice, I would still be using a "Dial Telephone" too! Those of us relics that still remember not only when there were Phone Booths but that had "bi-fold" Doors too when a persons telephone conversation was still a private matter rather then posting ever aspect of your life on Facebook and Twitter and later complain about your personal privacy being compromised. Now go shoot yourself another "Selfie" and take a picture of your next Meal and (please) don`t forget to send a "Tweet" and follow up on Insta-gram! Whats Window Vista or IOS X? You don`t use Apple`s Safari and its OS Yosemite? Bet you have a iPhone 6 too, LMAO
