I have a question for you all, how do you see your order in COTUS, I haven't been able to even refresh the page. I know some guys are even looking at the ship the cars are going to be shipped in to Europe and I don't have a clue!!

You'll first need a VIN number.
Your dealer can provide you a 'chassis' number and by adding 1FA6P8 in front of this number you'll get your VIN.
The ships are another story...You'll find nothing about it in COTUS.
You'll have to look at the website of WWL and make some wild guesses over the vessel that your car might be on once your car is "in transit" in COTUS...and once you have an EDD (Estimated Date of Delivery) provided when your car is in transit. The EDD will change as soon as your car gets into transit meaning the initial one you'll get (during production and awaiting shipment status) is not always very usefull...

I finally decided to accept having to go for a manual transmission and pulled the trigger today. Ford Netherlands still has production spots available for October so with a little luck I'll be picking her up on January 2nd

I decided to go for the Recaros, skip the Custom Pack and add the Nav/Shaker Pro and Parking Radar as seperate options. This also gives me the (imho) much nicer 5x2-spoke 19" wheels, which of course will get powdercoated in bright silver straight away.

I finally decided to accept having to go for a manual transmission and pulled the trigger today. Ford Netherlands still has production spots available for October so with a little luck I'll be picking her up on January 2nd

I was seriously considering going the manual route aswell... but oh well, I'll only buy a Mustang once (atleast if I keep living up here ).

You still going to have it repainted "proper" yellow? That would probably cost a fortune aswell up here...

I'm looking into moving to Germany and if I succeed in doing that probably the first thing I will do is order a black GT and paint that in Lotus Saffron Yellow.

But that is a longer term plan since it also involves building a new home and I just really didn't feel like waiting anymore. So I got this one as my long overdue new company car and I'm going to have to live with Triple Yellow for now. Life sucks

wouldn't you know - company cars are also taxed to death up here ... considering moving to Sweden (75 mins away!) where event the retail price of Ecoboost is lower than Fords price before taxes!

MMM youd then be liable to put it on your p11d as a benefit in kind, and with the mustangs CO2 output that would be some hefty liability. Much more than the vat saved.
