So checked this morning and my cars booked into ship on the talisman. Eta 17th of oct. Yay.
There is a thread for cars on the Talisman if you want to jump on it and we can all hold hands and track our cars together..

I wrote small piece of code which I scheduled to run twice a day (6am and 6pm) to query 2wglobal's website with my VIN and to check whether 'No records found' is present. As soon it detects 'No records found' is not in the result it sends me an email with subject 'YOUR BABY HAS ARRIVED AT THE DOCKS', otherwise it sends me an email with a subject 'Your mustang is still on a train'. Happy to share details with the nerds here. PM me if you're interested :)

That's is awesome how you can do that, I have no idea how it is done.
A question
Is it possible to write a code that detects when cars reach the port by picking up Brisbane, Port Kembla, Melbourne and Fremantle by the booking numbers including number per state? And cars loaded on ship using the same or VIN?. I am thinking about "Tango" and the mustang migration to OZ charts. Presently every entry has to be done by human searches.
Regards Paul

Edit- Sorry I am not asking you to do it, I am just asking can something like this be created to make it easier for the charts with less human involvement.

Given the webservice returns all the HTML, we should be able to parse that info and automate it. I need to digest the data first to see how it's structured and will see what can be done - thought I'm sure it's possible, it's a matter of work effort :)

I used a free Firefox extension called "Distill" which pretty much does the same thing.

A good option for the computer illiterate.

The only difference is "When your browser (Firefox) is not open, your webpages will not be monitored". My code runs on the cloud regardless if I'm online or not, I don't have to worry about it :)
