I'm running stock axles with hoosier slicks, no problems yet! Wheel hop is what breaks axles. That's why slicks are more forgiving than a drag radial when it comes to a manual car. Honestly I'm more worried about my axles when I wheel hop on my street tires than when I'm launching @ 5k on slicks.are you guys running stock half shafts for the manual cars with these tires? Is it safe to use them with the stock half shafts?

I'D SAY MORE LIKE SAFER!:lol:Yea I figured you are asking for trouble with Drag Radials. I should be safe to use a slick or bias ply tire with stock axles?
yup thats when I'm planning to go as well. Do you just dump the clutch at 6k? Side step?I'm a little hesitant to air down any more but next time I go to the track in the fall I'll be looking for 11's. 10-12 psi @ 6k should be a good test for stock axles, I'll let you know how I make out.:headbonk:
