So you didn’t change anything and it runs better all of a sudden lol? Or you capped that open port and it idles good now? I don’t understand how you could possibly have that just open to air and how the car would run very good period.
i didnt do any changes physically; tuner just added a new revision and it cleared everything up except the idle at operating temp was a little higher than what im used to. he just sent me a new revision that should lower it back to normal.

just to be clear that part in the i take thats open like that has NO VACUUM on it. i put my hand and a piece of paper up to it and theres nothing on it. i will still cap it off tho just to make sure. i havent messed with the open spot in the back of the intake tho. i will mess with it later on tonight when i get home. is there a link anywhere where i can get the appropriate cap for that piece?

Figured i would give you guys and update. i dont know exactly what the tuner did as far as adjustments but hes got it all sorted out. no idle issues at all. cold starts, warm starts, and driving around at parking lot speeds has no issues with bouncing around idle. went ahead and capped all the other things off just to make sure everything runs as smooth as it can.

For whatever reason anytime I ran vented catch can with gutted PCV system and boost reference to manifold. Zero issues with idle. No fking idea why
What does this mean? on my Vortech setup i have similar problems as far as warm and cold starts, i have a vented two way catch can one from each side of the valve covers, if anything, my vacuum looks different from yalls setup. Would you maybe be able to help me out if i attached some pictures?

Basically on the driver side inlet I just have a tiny breather filter.

On the passenger side outlet, I took the "guts" out of the PCV valve. And ran that to a vented catch can.

Since the catch can vents to the atmosphere and not back into the intake manifold. I then had an open direct Vaccum source to use for my boost reference. That made it more responsive and consistent.

some people think gutting the PCV is bad some think it's good. Both sides have some logic. But in the end, for me gutting the valve gave me the best overall experience.
