Its an ESC warning - DOH

I had a "ESC service required" warning this morning, and a hill start fault warning also.

Now this obviously made me pay a lot more attention, so wound the windows down and had a good listen and I can hear a intermittent light metal rubbing noise, not so good

Any one come across this?

(Trying to get hold of the dealer :frusty: )

So I eventually get hold of my so called Mustang specialist dealer service department,

Me - I need to book my Mustang in to be looked at re the ESC & hill start
service book says to contact your dealer asap to have it looked at

Dealer - what's your reg, did you buy it from us etc, etc
ok the Mustangs are so new we will need to see it  ( no sh*t)
Takes more details,
Ok I can book it in for the end of October !:doh:

Me - I'M not supposed to drive it until you see it !

D - sorry we are really busy with the diagnostic machine

Me - (slowly losing the will to live) are you serious?

D - why don't you try one of our other branches who may be less busy

Me - The car is a Mustang !
there is only you and Fordthorne in Cardiff who can sell and do warranty work on them in all of South Wales

D - Oh - do you want me to book you in for the end of October then

This is not a small dealer, largest in Wales by a mile, with many large branches and a big turnover.

Rang my supplying dealer in Swindon same story, and pretty much the same response (granted a lot more professional though)

So I go check the car again, no surprise the warnings have gone,
and the noise looks like small twig/branch stuck by wheels !
so will keep a look out for future warning signs.

The moral of this story (as if we didn't know) is the dealer after service is a
SHOWER OF SH*T !

Will be cancelling my service contract at my local dealer (for which I will lose money) and driving to Mike and the boys in Sunny Oxfordshire
(a 7 hour round trip) to service and do any other works required,

I will use the dealer only as a absolute last resort for warranty work,

Love the car but when you spend 35k + on a car you expect a better service
