I just bought a 15 ecoboost mustang. It has a MAP full exhaust and CAI. I get a moderate hiss during acceleration even when boost is just above 0. Then when I let off the throttle I hear a louder blowoff sound. I get about a max of 18 psi under hard acceleration. I didn't notice this much noise when I test drove a stock one. Or is this normal sound because of the CAI. Thanks.

The hiss is completely normal with the stock BPV with an aftermarket CAI.

Stock controlled bov is overly active. I swapped to maps charge pipes and ts bov. No more annoying hissing and constant multiple releases.

Thanks for all the answers. I've had turbo cars before but always stock air box. I'm not a fan of all the noise so I'll probably try and find a stock box.

I would think any CAI with a lid like Airaid would subdue the noise. I have an AEM CAI and suffer the same annoyance. Putting the stock system back on this weekend and will probably just add a K&N flat panel fitler.

The stock system with the Airaid tube and an upgraded panel filter works just fine on these cars. The stock airbox is designed pretty good, and truthfully, an aftermarket intake should be one of the last mods a person would do on them.

The Cobb intake has a lid and it's still super noisy.

I love all the noises thanks to the intake. The stock box was only in my car for two days. Never to be put back unless trading her in. Embrace the noise maker! hah

Any chance any of you would want to sell your stock air box?
