So the car is only a couple of weeks old, and there has been a couple of times where when I push start, the engine turns for a good 4-5 seconds before it finally starts. Is this normal?

I had a similar issue over a weekend, plus when it did start, some of the settings for the memory seats and such were reset to default. Turns out I had a faulty battery, which I found out when I got in to go to work on Monday and nothing happened. Replaced in warranty in an hour with no fuss, but might want to take it to the dealer and have them run the diagnostic on it.

So I was heading to the gym today, but made a quick stop at the local Homedepot. When I came back, the car took like a good 7 seconds to crank and it sounded like $h!t. So I had enough and made a U turn and headed to the dealer. Not going to make this a long post since I am planning on writing them and coorp. an email, but the service was horrible. They were making me feel like I was being inconvenient to them. When it is actually the other way around. Then after 15 minutes of what felt like an interrogation, they can only take me in the 26th (two weeks from now), WTF?! The excuse was because I needed a loaner, well, that's not my problem Koons Ford. This is barely a two week old car, come on! Anyways, there is so much about the situation, but needless to say, I went to the sale floor looking for the manager, but then changed my mind and started to walk out. Luckily the salesman that sold me the car was there and he eventually helped me out and told me to bring it first thing Monday. Video below if interested and hearing the vehicle cranking.:tsk:

Definitely not normal. Never heard mine do that... Battery sounds strong though. Following to see if dealer finds anything........
Agree that it's not the battery ... it cranks over super fast. Something else it going on, have the dealer check for trouble-codes.

Wow! I thought surely you must be exaggerating at least a little bit. That's horrible! When I press my button the car insta-starts.

Dropped it off today although it didn't do it once today. It seems to not be consistent, but when it does happens is during the following conditions: It's been driven for a good 20 minutes, normal drive, well what us V8 drivers consider normal :D. so basically it does this while I'm running errands around town, and the car is nice and warm (normal temps, not that is running hot). I am not a Ford expert, but wondering if the spark plugs are not gap properly. With heat, wondering if the gap is expanding even further. Anyways, I just hope they can replicate the issue.

Sounds like what my RX-8 would do on a hot day trying to start the engine hot.
Does your engine burn any oil? In rotary engines, hot start issue usually means engine losing compression.
It could also be a leaky injector.
