Anyone's ecoboost make a noise when it is cold for about the first 5-10 minutes. Doesn't sound like rod knock or injector tick mayje something in between. The. It starts to go away once the car is warm. Car runs great just makes the noise and it drives me nuts. Car runs good and only run 93 octane in it.

I'd say it's pretty normal. Mine does as well. These engines seem to click a lot while the oil is still cold.

Your description is too vague to draw a resonable analysis upon . Give us a video with some sound to draw a better picture of what your concerns are about ...

We'll guess the noise you speak of as we all draw our own conclusions about what abnormalities you have with yer ecoboost or ecobusted .

Also seems to have a Mouse / bird sound coming from the turbo side as well. Its a high pitch squeak that sounds just like a bird chirp when the car is driving and idling. Its not constant but does it every few seconds at idle and then i can hear it when cruising sometimes as well

Make sure the blades haven't contacted the housing. Pull the intake tube and check that asap.

Had the same noise on our shop car when the turbo shaft was bent. Couldn't see it from the inlet side but on the exhaust side you could spin the shaft and could see the shaft wobbling. Sounds almost like a throw out bearing when it goes bad.

Phil, not to alarm, does the engine idle rough/slight vibration when you come to a stop in traffic. I have posted a thread about my engine letting go a few months back, I also had a tick on cold starts and cleared up in a couple of minutes of driving, this went on for a few months beforehand, it ran well and smooth while cruising but would seem to stumble when coming to traffic stops. I have a catch can and the tick was on that side, thought it might be that but it wasn't. The new engine in the car idles very smooth without any noise on cold starts and the catch can wasn't the noise I had incurred. Definitely take it back to the dealer for documentation and record. By all means, if it is tuned, put back to stock. Hope I could be of some help.
