I've noticed this too. Throttle response changes depending on the mode, for example the car will be more aggressive sounding with less throttle in track mode vs normal.
Like Tommy said, it's just altering the electronic mapping of your throttle pedal. So it'll make the same noises and give you the same amount of push since it's the same throttle opening in the end. Your foot just has to push a little deeper in one of the more conservative modes to get the same amount of opening.The modes affect how fast the throttle body blade opens.Not a big difference but faster in track mode compaired to normal mode.
