Wow im glad I found this thread, I am also having the codes P0300, P0302,P2011,P2004. Cylinder misfire on cylinder 2. I swapped the spark plugs, replaced the o2 sensors and still nothing. My car backfires while accelerating slowly from 1800 to about 2200 rpm. Lund racing says everything is reading right and they dont know what can be going on.

Must be a San Diego Mustang thing haha. I haven't thrown a misfire code since I got my crank relearn done, but I did throw a P0358 code tonight. I just reset it, tired of the BS. If it's real, it'll come back.

Picked up my car last night from the dealership after having the head replaced. Oil was changed and coolant added as well too. No CEL or weak sounding backfires this morning on the way to work but it's only been about 12 hours since I got it back. I'll report back if I get a CEL again for sure.

Also, the service manager said that Ford is requesting that they send the old head to them for analysis. I'd be really interested to find out if they find anything but I'm sure that's info I'll never see.

Excellent. Did the dealer tell you how they came up with that idea to change the head?

After the engineering hotline had them run all of the tests, they finally just told them to change the head. There was nothing that the ford service guys could find wrong with it.

How much did that cost you if anything?

That's interesting. My buddy, who lives in Aliso Viejo, has had the same issue and after changing multiple parts and sensors, they just called the other day and said they were going to change the cylinder head. Must be a casting issue that is messing with the sensors. I am sure FORD will not disclose the issues.

Yeah, maybe a certain run of heads had some kind of imperfect casting that wasn't caught, who knows. I first got the CEL around 25,000 miles and I hope in another 25,000 it doesn't return.

Update: dealer called and said that my car is ready. They told me that they replaced my intake manifold. That it was cracked. So, I'm going to pick up my car tomo and I hope that it's fixed

Wtf? Cracked intake manifold? Huh... I hope your car is settled after this. Since I got my car back, the CEL hasn't come back on. Something's telling me not to hold my breath though.

Yup, they replaced my intake mani and my PCM. I hope this does it, I hate having issues on my new car.
