Yesterday, while participating in an autocross in Cumberland, MD, I witnessed my courtesy lights coming on in response to a friend of mine opening the door of his Subaru STi, which was parked next to the Mustang.
I was standing almost 300 yards away at the time, well out of electronic reach of the car, with my key in the pocket of my jeans. I just happened to be looking in that direction. Spooky. By the time I walked over to the car, the lights had shut themselves off.
I wondered if anybody else has ever had their car react to somebody else's electronics.
