Hey guys,
About a month or so ago I put sportlines on you GT non-PP, I liked them at first but now I've realized that they ride pretty harsh, I can feel every little bump and crack in the road and it's making me want to drive my other car and not the GT.

Does this have anything to do with clocking the bushings, or is it just these springs? I haven't gotten around to clocking the bushings yet but I can imagine that it would make it any better.

Anyways, what would be a good alternative spring that rides closer to stock? I was torn between the sportlines and Steeda progressives before, I went with the sportlines solely on the amount of drop they gave.

My car is 100% stock suspension wise besides the springs.

Thanks

Don't blame ride quality on the springs alone. They need to be matched with upgraded dampers for optimum ride quality. Check out some of the other threads on dampers for more info and opinions.

Agreed ^^. From what I've read, even the PP dampers have a tough time controlling most aftermarket springs (higher rate and/or lower), forget the base GT ones.

Try pairing these with FRPP dampers and upgrade to the FRPP jounce bumpers/shave the OEM ones. Then decide if you have the right spring.

I have Sportlines paired with the FRPP dampers, and I love the combo. I never felt that the Sportlines by themselves were too harsh, however.

I myself having had the H&R springs with the PP suspension and then swapping struts/Shocks to the Ford Racing dampers it is much improved but still not there. Personally I do not think the Ford Racing shocks/Struts will do it for ya. Wait for the Koni setup.
