Read up more. Aftermarket cai’s do not help much. Just pop out your hydrocarbon trap and run a dry flow filter. E85 is a mini power adder.
Down to a few gallons of 93 left. The Flex tune is so good on that I'm not sure what the re-fuel will be like!

Thanks. Not even looking to go faster at this point, but trying to decide on a tune or no tune CAI. First mustang and first brand new car, so I’m Thinking no tune and yea to warranty!
I don't don't think I've ever heard of a case with a tune being an issue in any warranty, but there may be some out there. The dealer wants to do the work if something goes wrong and they can get the manufacturer to cover it. They are more on your side (well, their side respective of owner and manufacturer). Dealers will fix things that don't need to be fixed and tear the whole car apart if the manufacture pays them.

Besides, if they can't get the work covered you have the option to go to a better shop that will charge less for the work.

Tunes do nothing to your warranty.

Lol, but they do to your warranty claims.
Still have yet to read one credible 1st-hand account of that actually happening.

My last 3 Mustangs were all tuned. It didn't cause any warranty claim issues. Even when the intake manifold cracked.

Interesting, I have heard several say it voided their warranty, even if they tuned back to stock. I will talk to my dealer, they might be the best to ask. Thanks all.

With all due respect to everyone involved, I have never seen more warranty worry warts than I have on this forum...except maybe on some Mustang Facebook groups. I am not complaining....I love this group....but when I hear about fear of warranties be "voided," I have to just shake my head and smile. Having said that, we all have to feel comfortable with our choices. If one is fearful of a warranty claim being denied no matter how unlikely, then don't mod your car.

Ford provides the warranty....not your dealer. I am not sure what you would gain by asking a service writer. My guess that he will say that if a tune causes a failure, that failure may not be covered. That is NOT "voiding" your warranty.

In 99.9% of warranty claims, the dealer will have no reason to investigate whether or not the car was tuned. The car should be returned to stock when going to the dealer simply because if they do a PCM update, it can screw up the tune.

How many times have tunes caused an engine to blow up? If you use a reputable tuner, it is highly unlikely. It is MUCH more likely that you would have an electrical, HVAC, body, or some ancillary problem that needs attention. In those cases, there is zero reason for a dealer to investigate tuning or even give a rat's buttocks about your tune. Even if the car is tuned and a specific claim is denied, you are still covered for a multitude of other things.

My car is tuned for full E85. I have no issues. Full E85 is the way to go!! Never had an issue with my warranty on all my cars, all have been tuned.

I know YMMV but my dealer replaced my engine on my 96 GT way back when, I took the vortech off but didnt have access to another oil pan. They put in a new motor and put my old oil pan with the drain in it on my new motor. Zero bucks out of pocket. They like the money from Ford. If you arent a dick they most likely wont be either.

Take your car in for ticking or that 2k rattle and I'd dare to say most dealers are gonna ask and then look for themselves...

Since it is a known issue, I think it is very unlikely a dealer would associate the tick with a tune. If my car had a tick or rattle, I would have the dealer look at prior to tuning, anyway.
