Either way, at 90K miles, your fuel filter (sock) is probably filthy and could stand to be changed. It’s like chewing on a straw and sipping your drink with a restriction vs drinking from an unrestricted straw. Your motor will be much happier.

If you noticed in the pics from my fuel pump failure thread, the fuel sock was dirty with just 7K miles on the car.
With only 7k? Wow 😬 Yeah it’s a used car, so the history mystery bug has me. Definitely changing it out either way. I’ve been giving it love one way or the other since I purchased it in March, replacing every neglected item that I’ve found. If I decide to go with a factory unit, complete with bucket, looks like a cakewalk to do. I could probably sell the DW to someone looking to go FI should I go OEM 👍🏻
