in pics of the motor, it says it has dual clutch plates, how does this benefit it, never had a car with that. will it make the clutch harder to press as well? any info would be great or a point in the right direction to read on it.

In a single disc setup, you have the flywheel-clutch disc-pressure plate. Holding power is dictated by the amount of disc surface area you can have coupled with the force from the pressure plate.

Now, a dual disc setup goes like flywheel-clutch disc-intermediate disc-clutch disc-pressure plate. It doubles the surface area that can grab, without having to use too stiff of a pressure plate. So pedal effort is usually similar to a single disc, but power capability is greatly increased. The biggest drawback of this type of setup is cost. That's why you only see them in higher end cars.

It also gives you varying compounds on the disks such as using both organic and Kevlar, and many aftermarket are good to 1300ft lbs. quick shifts under WOT and you won't slip the clutch.

That's nothing. Most motorcycles will have 9-10 plates.

Dual discs are usually smaller in diameter compared to a single, so they have less rotational inertia. This is another factor allowing the engine to spin up faster.
