DRL’s - interesting

So, I never noticed this before - not even on my prior 2016....

But if having only the audio on inside the car - nothing else on and doors shut (windows up or down) - the front DRL’s stay illuminated.

I only noticed it today because I washed the car and had the doors shut w/ audio tunes on while I detailed the outside...

The DRL’s didn’t turn off for as long as the audio is on.

I would have thought that the DRL’s would time out?

Should turn off if you put on the park brake

Can't you turn them off with the light switch? Pretty sure if I turn the switch to off, the drl's turn off also. In the auto position, the drl's come on in the daytime.

The light switch was totally off.

Hmmm... I didn’t try the parking brake though.

I just know, only audio was on, HVAC was off, everything else was totally off. Doors were shut with driver window down. Then I closed the window to see what would happen - DRL’s remained lit.

They did not turn off at all - I even left the audio on until the car itself auto turned it off, then the DRl’s went off too.
