Oh man, going back a few years LOL. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t own more than 1 pair back in the day 🤭

If you had those and shell-toe Adidas, you were rocking the shoe world.

I didn’t have the Adidas unfortunately. Had a pair of Chuck Taylor’s though.

And being in Chicago, always had to get the new release Air Jordan’s back when he was playing. Stopped buying them for a long time after he retired (the last time). Got a pair last year and my son has like 5 pairs now LOL. Wish I kept my originals, they’d be worth a lot right now. Sold them about 10 years ago

I can start a new thread if you all think it’s worth it, but thoughts on driving gloves? I’m religious about cleaning and conditioning my leather on the steering wheel but was curious if anyone wears driving gloves. I guess I technically do in winter, although they’re just winter liner gloves not driving specific

My vote is, yes. I always learn from these threads, along with laughing.

Same here, my son has several pair of Jordans, and I wish I had kept mine.

Just put it out there. Will be curious what the responses are. I’m sure a few will generate a laugh or two LOL

Semi-related maybe unrelated, but how are Grandprix Originals? I've been looking for another set of good looking shoes since all my vivo barefoot shoes/wildlings are ass when I come across any type of liquid and touch my clutch (might as well call it a slip'n'slide).

I previously rolled my ankles in my Piloti Pistone-X's but I ended up wearing those again just because midwest weather be stupid and I don't like slip'n'slides when I have clutch. Also have the atlas 24 hour of le mans but those are summer only. Not letting those touch anything that isn't sunny weather.

I really like them so far. The pair I got are mostly suede so I’ve been mainly wearing them around the house to break in the leather while not subjecting the suede to any lingering salt (haven’t had salt on the roads in several weeks thankfully). They have a lot of cool color combos. I have the racing sneakers which are a thinner sole and a little narrower but they still run true to size. If you’re looking for something unique, I’d give them a try. They have a really good return policy so if you try them for a few days and decide you don’t like them, you can return them (it’s a 30 day return policy I believe). The racing sneaker is really more of a driving or short walk kind of shoe though. That I can tell just by walking around the house.

I have the Piloti Icona as well (their new one) and have driven in those. Very comfortable but also good pedal feel. Those I would wear to work in addition to car shows and some spirited driving.

Long answer short, if there’s a Grand Prix style that tickles your fancy, I’d say give them a try. I’ve been very happy with mine so far.

Yeah I need a pair of high tops, so I'm basically looking at the Piloti Apex's in Cognac or the Grand Prix in Cognac, not sure if the $100 price difference though. I just need one more shoe that doesn't turn into a slip'n'slide when it rains lol

Glad to hear you're digging both the Icona's and GPO's.

Been meaning to post up some pics of the LeMans Piloti’s. Very close to Grabber Blue too
