Installed a new oem drive shaft today along with the JXB carrier kit. Anyone else do this ? Getting some vibration when under load now. Didn’t have with the old drive shaft. I don’t think they can be put in wrong or any clocking is needed with stock two piece . Maybe I’m wrong ?

Also took the BMR cradle locks off and went with Kelltracs positrac system.

I am thinking the JXB carrier is the issue

I have a 19 RS3 6 Speed. I will be installing Carbon Fiber DS this winter. For sure, not an expert. That said, there is a lot of information on Drive Shafts here so recommend do some searching.

What I can share is suggest disengaging and rotating Drive shaft by quarters. This does appear to solve NVH issues for others with similar concern.

Yeah we clocked it, removed it and re installed. It’s an original new OEM two piece. I went this route as I didn’t want an vibration of the one piece. So not sure. Ready to put my old back in and just see if it goes away. It’s more of a process of elimination now 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not happy looking for some advice.

Either the driveshaft or the Kelltracs is causing some pretty good NVH now.
Sorry to hear of your NVH. I cannot see locking the cradle is causing increase of NVH while cruising. I do not know which driveshaft you have but I would suggest researching this forum for DS which increase NVH and the recomendations to try to fix or reduce it. Good luck

Yeah I ended up talking to the owner Kelltracs and he is 99.9% sure it isn’t his kit causing the issues. I bought the OEM stock two piece replacement and use the JXB carrier bearing support bracket. We’ve clocked the drive shaft and double checked all work. It’s on the way it’s supposed to be from what we see. Thanks for your input 👍🏼

Update: JXB is working with me and sending out some different compound of bushings for their kit. They have been easy to work with and this seems to be a rare case as all I have read is their kit works and works well.

A new stock OE factory ford was put in the same time as the JXB carrier bracket.

To bad you don't live closer, I would let you install my 19GT two piece with 1600 miles on it to see if it fixes your NVH

Thank you, I appreciate that. I was told that you turn the rear of the drive shaft in the coupler and bolt it down. So basically you are moving it over a set of holes and seeing if that helps with the balance. The OE drive shaft has a sticker on it that you line up with the spot on the rear coupler and that is supposed to be properly installed then.

Well good luck.

After taking the new OEM drive shaft with the JXB bracket off and putting the old OEM drive shaft back on with no bracket all the vibration went away. We tried several different of the JXB bushings and nothing seemed to work. It must be something with my car , I know others that have used them and they claim no issues. . I will stick with yet another new OEM I bought and call it good.

JXB is refunding 100% of the expense and also buying the drive shaft that wouldnt work. They want to do their own research and see what the issue is. NOW thats a STANDUP company. Jay is a stand up guy!

Hey man i know this forum is almost a year old, but i had this same exact issue and i found the solution. All those solutions/bushings&washers jay gave you arent gonna do anything because the problem was the way the carrier mounts to the body.you have to ditch the 4 rubber isolators and use all solid hardware.
