I'm completely new to the drag pack world. I don't know what wheels to get, tire size or wheel size. I'm not trying to break the bank. The cheaper the better.I was thinking about a 18 on the back wrapped with a toyo 888r 305 35 18 and a skinny on the front. Don't really care about looks. Just want to hook and go and loose some weight. What's a good wheel with the combination I'm looking for? Thanks guys

I would go with a 17" on the rear and 305/45/17. If you are an auto car get ET Street R. The tire you mentioned is a 26 and will not do as well.

If you want an 18" wheel, you're going to need at least 40 sidewall. 305/40/18 is a good size.

This is an 18" setup:

I just bought a set of 305/45/18 NT555Rs to run on the street on my car. I will post some pictures when I get them mounted.
Those are going to be some taalllll tires.

Interested to see how they turn out

They about 1" taller than what I am running now. Hopefully they don't look too stupid LOL.
I don't think they'll look stupid, but if you're lowered, hopefully you don't rub.

I'm running a 28.4" tall tire right now with a 0.5" drop in the rear and I still have a good amount of space. 28.9" should clear as long as you aren't over a 1" drop in the rear I would say.

I just bought some all season 315 35 20 I think it maybe slowing me down a bit. Side wall is tall. I have 3:73 gear in the rear with a vortech blower. Someonce since my tire is so tall instead of a 3:73 I more so have a 3:63 or close to a 3:55. I got tires of buying summer tires and have to replace them every damn year. A 40 roll is useless in my car. It'll blow the tires off. I don't dig just rolls. Right now all I can do is 60. It's a MT82

You need a drag radial is all. Pick up some 305/35/20 ET street SS and you'll be able to hook a 40 roll (most likely). Your gearing is a bit short for a boosted application so you might look into picking up 331s down the line. Or get real serious and get a tremec tr6060 or t56 magnum. Those transmissions have phenomenal gearing for roll racing.

Looks great! What exactly are the tire/wheel specs?
It was at my buddy's shop and I didn't ask about the setup really. I just remember they were 18s (I think the rear tires were 315/40/18), the offsets weren't ideal (fronts poked), and that he spent A LONG time adjusting the coilovers to make sure he didn't rub. He even had to roll his fenders a bit and as you can see in the pic, the rears had a good bit of camber (not ideal on drag radials for sure).

Holy crap that, that stance  I'm thinking of getting 18x10 ForgeStar D5 wheels. they're on sale for $179.99/piece on American Muscle right now. Are you running 315s all around?

This was my buddy's setup so I don't exactly remember the specs. Pretty sure it wasn't a square setup though.

I'm trying to figure out what size tires to get for an 18x10 wheel. I only want to run these in the rear and still use the performance pack wheels in the front.
