To any ecoboost owners that have already got their car.
Can someone please take a photo of the underside of the car:
Need a photo of the downpipe itself and where it sits.
OR the underside of the car
Thanks in advance!

Kevin I tried to get photos of the underside but without being on a host I think they are not what you want, I put the ipad on the ground and clicked away unknowing what I was taking, these are the best, can try again if I know the exact area you want

I was thinking about it but at the time none of the manufacturers could confirm their downpipes would fit due to the steering etc being on the RHS and not having sold one fo see either way. That may have changed but I'm not certain.

I did a quick check out of CJPony and looked at a few videos, but most I found will not fit a convertible with extra chassie Strengtheners?, so will leave it for a while and wait and see if EVER Ford AU recommend one that will not have a warranty issue, at least while car is new

I contacted Ford AU about modifications and warranty because I was thinking about fitting a Catback exhaust. Naturally they said any modification could be detrimental to the warranty but especially anything upstream of a catback because there are engine sensors from the downpipe back to the intake that could alter the operation of the engine and would show up on the ecu.
They also said the Ecoboost engine from the factory develops something like 137 H.P per litre compared to the V8 which makes around 80 H.P per litre so the ecoboost is in a higher state of tune from the factory. Under certain circumstances even a free follow filter "could" be a problem. Or so they said.

My dealer said he was happy with a Cai, an intercooler and a catback but in the event of a serious engine failure Ford would send their own engineer who would look at the ecu, so a tune would be a problem and sudden changes in the way the engine was running would raise a red flag.
I'm going to see if I'm happy with the stock performance while I'm running the engine in, then fit the catback. If I keep it past the warranty period and find someone experienced in modifying the ecoboost I might do a little more.
Meanwhile, I've got this catback sitting in a box

So far I've installed a MAP intercooler and Magnaflow street Catback. Dealer is fine with this but he recommended not to install downpipe if I want to keep warranty.

That means no downpipe for me for now! Since our dealer's are the same.
Thanks for the heads up.

I had the MAP intercooler in the checkout cart in the Black Friday Sale but at the last minute I decided to wait. I didn't want to have it sitting around the house until the car arrived and I was sure everything was ok with the engine and find they'd made an improvement to the design in the interim.

Yes, the downpipe change is detectable so the dealers don't want to be in the middle of a dispute. I don't want to mess around with potential headaches, I've got a low tolerance for them.
I think in NSW we're allowed to increase horsepower by about 20% (say 60 H.P) without bringing in an engineer. Maybe Ford will release the upgrade chip and maintain the warranty one day?
