Well, the Stang has about 5900 miles now and the rear gear whine has gotten to be more than I can handle. Had the noise since about 1200 and I thought maybe I would just deal with it for now and later just swap it out for an iron housing out of an M6. But, its gotten worse than I thought it would in a quicker amount of time. Also, since around the same original mileage, the steering has been "sticking" once the ambient temperatures get to the warmer side and the car is driven for a period of time. It tends to hold its position after making a turn and not naturally returning to center and its just sticky in general when making normal steering corrections while driving in a straight line. So, tomorrow , its off to the dealer to be diagnosed. Really just posting this for anyone who may have these problems in the future.
