Yeah not for here, look at the rear badges only the 50th anniversary had them over here but in Europe I know the standards Mustangs have them like that.

Surely not going to Europe if that pic is in Cali. Oz, perhaps?

All European, Asian and Australian models have clear taillights and badges. European cars are being shipped from Baltimore so these are probably going to either Asia or Australia.

Why do these models have clear taillights?

I believe these were headed to the port of San Pedro, CA. I took the picture on the I-15 south headed towards San Diego. My guess is Australia.

Why do these models have clear taillights?
Ford are selling pretty much the same RHD model worldwide, so they looked into the "worst case" requirements for each country, and they are building all of them to that spec. They are also offering fewer options/packages than are availible in the US.

In Europe, you can't have red lights for the indicators at the rear, so it was "easier" to just standardise on white covers and use coloured bulbs. We also don't get the sequential turn lights, or the hood vents, or the option of Recaros, and the bigger mirrors are needed to provide European mandated coverage.

The RHD models are based on the combination of the performance package and the premium package, so we get that even on the auto which I understand isn't available in the US. We don't get the "full" options, e.g. the extra guages, but it is still a good combinaiton. We also get the heavy duty cooling system as well.

I guess it makes it "easier" for the factory, with less "customising" needed for each vehicle. Makes inventory management easier as well I guess, but since every RHD is specifically ordered (for the time being at least) I don't know whey they needed to do that.

But don't get me wrong - I am getting a RHD Mustang from the factory, and I am very happy about that! My Ruby Red EB auto convertible was ordered in Feb 2015, and I hope to get delivery in April 2016...:clap2:

It's not only for RHD models, exactly the same specs apply for all exported models, including LHD all over the Europe. You can't buy a V6 outside US / Canada. In my opinion, Ford will allow more customisation in coming years for export vehicles since for MY2016 there are some more options when ordering from Europe. But still we don't get SYNC3 - they need to localize it first + we have a bit different mobile networks, etc.
