What is the difference between the 18 and the 15-17 exhaust? Is it just the mufflers?

made mine quieter 2 weeks ago. MagnaFlow Tru X is what you want. I would get just the muffler and not the one from CJPP that's $269.00.

Is this the Tru X that you are talking about https://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/64...xQ76X4lpDpa1ioLHsHKPaZ4NFqlBd0QBoCPREQAvD_BwE if so that is 40% the cost of the CJPP unit. However this will require some exhaust fabrication to install where the CJPP unit is pretty much a plug and play. I have the CJPP MagnaFlow Tru X and it is indeed quieter than the stock resonator but not by much. I think you might need the whole 15-17 exhaust system plus the Tru X to get where want to be with sound volume.

Yes sir. The CJPP piece just adds some piping, cheaper to have exhaust shop fab some up. I have LT"s with no cats and you can't tell anymore, the sound is deep/smooth.

I agree it would be cheaper than the CJPP unit to have an exhaust shop do the install of just the Tru X muffler in place of the resonator. I still have the rest my stock exhaust system and it is indeed a deeper smother quieter exhaust sound. The OP could try this as a first steep towards quieter exhaust system.

Won't a factory 15'-17' exhaust bolt right up? I know my 16' exhaust was super quiet from the factory. It drove me nuts, it was quieter than most commuter cars. I like to hear the V8. :)

No not exactly, 18's have quad tips so you need to add those to the 15-17 mufflers.

Furthermore are you really saying the 18 mustang stock exhaust is to loud? It's has a nice grumble but that's about it, it's by no means loud. I consider it quiet and it has not turned any heads for me. Your not going to find a exhaust quieter than stock that won't choke the car to death considering it's already choked and restricted from the factory.
I have a bionic ear on my right side and it is hyper sensitive, here shortly I will have one on the left side as well. I tell my wife I can hear flies fart.

Hi, I have a 2019 GT convertible that has a drone that I’d love to get rid of as this is my daily driver.
I didn’t get the AE... so I’m now looking for some kind of replacement for the stock resonator mid muffler and probably just keep my stock back mufflers.
I see Borla has a muffler that should fit where the ford resonator is with the dual 2.5” front and back Borla Pro XS Muffler https://www.cjponyparts.com/borla-p...ase-size-2-1-2-dual-inlet-outlet/p/BOR400286/

Will this get rid of my 2k rpm drone and make the Overall exhaust lower volume from stock?

I have some hearing issues and my Old ears are sensitive to drone in my car or a motorcycle.
Thanks for the help!

yes it will get rid of the drone. I had the mangaflow tru x but got rid of it for being too quiet. Its expensive from cjpnoyparts though. You could just get dual in/out magnaflow tru x muffler & have it welded in.
