I installed my Borla S-Type catback about a month and a half ago and loved the sound of it. However after taking it for a spirited drive this past weekend, I felt like the exhaust has gotten quieter, especially in the lower rpm's. Am I going crazy? or just gotten used to the sound? The exhaust came with weep holes but could they have gotten clogged? Not sure if that would have an effect on the sound.

Exhaust tends to quiet down after you put some miles on it once carbon begins to build up in the pipes. You aren't going crazy it happens with all systems.

Just probably getting used to it. After I installed my Solo Performance catback exhaust it was real loud compared to stock, really still is, but find myself feeling the same way sometimes at lower RPMs as well. I have the Mach Thunder and think sometimes if the Street Race might be an option in the future. But when I open it up on the highway it's exactly the sound I want to hear.

I installed a Kooks Catback H-pipe system on 8/1. I thought it was the loudest thing going every time I started the car. After a few hundred miles now it is the sweetest sound I have ever heard on a car. Is it the pipes getting carboned or otherwise broken in, or is it my ears? I don't know, but I like mine and I don't remember anything else like it.

Good to know I'm not going crazy! Thanks, I had no idea. If anything, I thought it would get louder? I would like a little louder but not as loud as the Atak system so I'm ok with this.

You're not down on power too, right?
Doesn't seem like it. Power feels the same.

Guess I'll have to open it up more often!

You just don't know, in Sport+ mode you can play the exhaust note like an instrument. And then when you slow down the rev matching and burbling is awesome. I am a kid with balloons in the spokes again.
